{"id":268,"date":"2021-08-21T11:07:40","date_gmt":"2021-08-21T18:07:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thetimeisnear.com\/?page_id=268"},"modified":"2021-08-29T12:33:21","modified_gmt":"2021-08-29T19:33:21","slug":"gods-law-page-4","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.thetimeisnear.com\/?page_id=268","title":{"rendered":"God&#8217;s Law &#8211; Page 4"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">John wrote that we are to keep the commandments:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.\u00a0<br>He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><cite>1 John 2:3,4<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.\u00a0<br>For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.\u00a0<br>For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><cite>1 John 5:2-4<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-vivid-cyan-blue-color has-text-color\"><br><span class=\"has-inline-color has-black-color\">Paul also wrote about the importance of faith and keeping the commandments.
